"I have been so impressed as I’ve worked with Miranda. She did a manuscript evaluation for my book and helped me brainstorm possible solutions for areas that needed developing. She has truly been a delight. Not only did she give both positive and constructive feedback, but she took the time to really understand my goal and vision for the story. Her ideas and suggestions were aimed at making my vision shine, instead of changing it to become something else. After providing the feedback, she also helped come up with a game plan for how to tackle the revisions. Her patience and kindness exceeded what I thought I’d receive from a book coach and I have every intention of hiring her again for future projects."

FAQs

Do you do line edits?

No, I don’t do line edits. I may offer some line level suggestions while working on a developmental edit, but I am not a line editor.

What’s it like to work with you?

First, we’ll set up a free thirty-minute discovery call to see if we’re a good match and if I can provide what you’re looking for.

Once we know we want to work together, we’ll figure out which service is best for your needs, and we’ll set up deadlines and future chats together.

Please note, I don’t tolerate hate toward marginalized communities and won’t work with hateful individuals.

Do you only work on young adult contemporary, fantasy, and science fiction genres?

Young adult is the only age category I work in, though I may expand later. I can help you with other genres, however, I may not know all the genre conventions and miss something. Please note, I won’t work on novels with extreme violence, high spice levels, on the page rape, or violence against children, animals, and women. Still curious if I’ll work on your novel? Send me an email or a form message, and we can set up a free thirty-minute discovery call to see if we’re a good fit.

Do you have experience with the queer community?

Yes. I am familiar and comfortable with many areas within the queer community. For specifics, please reach out if you’d like to know if I’m familiar with your manuscript’s content.

Do you work on religious and/or political works?

No. These are not areas I work in.

Do you offer pitching services?

Not at this time.

Do you work with writers who use generative AI?

No. I do not work with writers who use generative AI to write their books, even if it’s just one scene. However, I understand that many writing programs, such as Word and ProWritingAid, use AI as a source to assist writers in editing their work. As someone with dyslexia, I understand how valuable these resources can be to help a writer find typos and other errors, and I have no issues working with writers who use those resources to aid in editing.

Can you guarantee an agent will sign me or that I’ll get a book deal from working with you?

No. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee these outcomes.
